EPILEPSY OTTAWA AND THE OTTAWA DRAGON BOAT FOUNDATION ANNOUNCE JOINT OTTAWA FIRE TRUCK PULL PARTNERSHIP!
OTTAWA, JUNE, 2024, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Epilepsy Ottawa and the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation (ODBF) are excited to announce that they have agreed to a joint relationship to build and expand the Ottawa Fire Truck Pull. This partnership will build on Epilepsy Ottawa’s success in founding and launching the Ottawa Fire Truck Pull and leverage ODBF’s significant experience at delivering exceptional community events such as the Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival coming this June 21 to 23 and the Beavertails Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival, an annual highlight of Ottawa’s Winterlude festivities.
This will enable the expansion and growth of the event under the guidance of ODBF’s festival events team thereby allowing Epilepsy Ottawa to sustain the financial benefits of this important fundraiser while focusing on its core mission of supporting the Epilepsy Community in the Ottawa area by empowering individuals, families and caregivers with epilepsy resources, education and mental health support.
Peter Andrews, the volunteer President and Chair or Epilepsy Ottawa said “This new relationship with the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation team will enable us to jointly realize the full impact and fundraising potential of this exciting community event while enabling Epilepsy Ottawa to focus on it’s core competencies of delivering community based services to those affected by epilepsy in the Ottawa area.”
